My name is Cristina and my Hebrew name is Bat Melech בת מלך , which means King’s daughter. My Hebrew name is what defines me. If there is anything worth mentioning about me, it's that I am Adonai’s daughter.
I began this blog, not because I can write well, but because only by writing what I understand about life so far, keeps me from loosing myself in everything else. The things I write are not meant to be judged, nor accepted or refused by others, but merely represent what I live with Adonai and if it so happens that others read it as well, then I hope Adonai will give you the wisdom to only take what is good for you and not ridicule the things that you either don’t know or don’t understand.
Some things about me…
I don’t know yet is life is wonderful, or life just is. I haven’t cried or laughed more than others, so there is nothing special about my tears or laughter. I don’t own many things, but I have everything I need. I am not short or tall, I am not particularly smart, but I’m not retarded either. I am not pretty or hideous and probably I could go on forever about how common I am by everything I seem to the naked eye. One would have to be God to see the uncommon in me.
Although I haven’t discovered any scientific fact, I did discovered what it means to die and then come back to life. I never met the president or anyone famous for that matter, but I did meet tens and hundreds of smiling old people. I have seen the sea just once, but I have seen and climbed many mountains. I lived through things that no human should experience in this life, but looking back I think those things have made me in to who I am today. I lived 18 years away from God, and they were too many. I have loved Israel all my life, but that doesn’t make me special either, because maybe there are people that love it more than I (maybe…).
I am not the one that discovered that the earth is round, but I discovered on my own that this earth was made for me. I have no idea how the laws of physics work, but I did learn that although the gravity is bound to pull a falling object towards it, if that falling object is me, then I can get back up more than 7 times a day.
I am not special in any way and I may not have the most extraordinary life in history, but I will live for Adonai, and that’s pretty extraordinary.
I don’t need the whole earth to revolve around me, because something bigger than that, revolves around me, and that is the heart of God.
